Our client is one Queensland's premier government departments, it provides the public with access to a range of services. The role is within their Information technology department and specifically provides operational support services to infrastructure on the daily basis.
 
This is a pure business as usual support role and supplements the server administration support team while resources are diverted to progress activity with the testing stages of an IT Disaster Recovery (DR) project. The role will undertake BAU Support Activity and assist as required with progressing DR project activities.
 
Our client requires a highly skilled infrastructure system administrator within the Department's Service Delivery Team.
 
The Service Delivery team is responsible for the operational management of the Department's IT infrastructure.
 
We are looking for a high level of Microsoft and VMware knowledge and experience (including Windows Server 2008 to 2016, Active Directory, DNS, DFS and file and print services). You have highly developed SAN storage and backup skills and experience.
 
Additionally your broad knowledge, skills and experience in Information Technology and Server Infrastructure are second nature to you.

Being a services role, you are required to have highly developed interpersonal, presentation and consultation skills and you are known as a self starter.

If you have Commvault, DR and Nutanix experience you will increase you chances in getting the job, but are not essential.
