We are looking to hire an IT Support Level 2 Officer, to work on a 6 month contract based in Hawthorn, Melbourne.

 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide help desk support to staff
  • Provide support maintaining network users & security levels
  • Maintain backup systems
  • Monitor systems, providing support to ensure they run effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure all IT support requests are logged and actioned in the ticket system
  • Assist with the maintenance and management of IT assets including their acquisition, transfer and disposal
  • Maintain Server Infrastructure
  • Facilitate system improvements and upgrades
  • Some after hours work will be required and on call roster

 

To ensure success in the role the successful applicant will have:

  • Be able to apply common sense and logic to troubleshooting
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills
  • Self motivated with the ability to prioritise and work unsupervised
  • Must have own car and be able to travel to various sites across Melbourne
  • Advanced information technology skills
  • A professional, approachable and collaborative manner
  • Exceptional clear and concise communication skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and a hands-on approach

Experience in the following systems will be highly regarded:

  1. Pracsoft and Medical Director/Best Practice
  2. Domain Administration
  3. Network Monitoring
  4. Microsoft Windows desktop Operating systems (Windows 10, 8.1, 7)
  5. Office 2016, O365, 2013, and 2010
  6. LAN (network) connectivity troubleshooting (DHCP, IP etc)
  7. Hardware - Desktop and Laptop break/fix
  8. Backup & Disaster Recovery
  9. Data and phone patching
  10. Desktop Security skills (virus handling, SPAM, security breaches)
  11. Remote access support
  12. Printer support
