Software Developer - Connected TV

This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new team within Nine’s Tech department, working on projects to help prepare future-proof the business for the ever changing digital landscape.
 
We are building an agile software development team responsible for building Nine’s suite of applications that run on multiple devices, including smart TVs and gaming consoles. We are passionate about bringing an amazing ‘living room experience’ to our audience and work closely with product and user experience teams to deliver high-quality software.
 
You will collaborate with other developers and cross-functional teams to plan, design, develop and test CTV solutions. Our technology stack is predominantly web-based, particularly utilising React or React Native but you should be willing to deep dive into other areas including Android TV, tvOS, Xbox and AWS.
 
Essential experience and skills:

• JavaScript (ES2015) or Typescript
• React or equivalent front-end framework
• Modern web development tools, like Webpack, Gulp, Babel etc.
• Agile software practices, such as Continuous Integration
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff, including good presentation skills

 
Desirable experience and skills:

• AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure.
• React Native
• Android or iOS Development
