Our Client is a South Australian engineering services company that provides custom solutions to the unique problems faced by its customers. They offer services for software & systems engineering, systems integration, research & development, and product development - their speciality is custom IT & communications systems.
Because of growing demand for their services, they are looking for Software Engineers to join the development team. These are hands-on, technical software engineering positions. The successful candidates will support integration and configuration of computational system architecture and system software for real-time applications.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, integrate and test software to meet requirements
- Design computer architecture, software interfaces, and software infrastructure
- Troubleshoot issues with computational equipment configuration & interfaces
- Responsible for requirements, design, development, integration, testing, & verification of simulation interfaces
Skills & Experience
- A computing, mathematical, scientific or engineering degree, and a demonstrated ability to understand mathematical concepts.
- Strong Java, C+/C# & Database experience
- Management of a software baseline, including branching, merging, building, maintaining, and installing software
- Creation and maintenance of coldstart procedures that are used to install and configure the OS on various Linux and Windows machines
- Experience working in a team environment
- Good communications skills
