Our integrated 3D laser scanning, survey and imaging hardware and software can be applied to geotechnical analysis, stockpile measurement, design conformance and movement monitoring. Vulcan 3D modelling and mine planning software is a comprehensive, dynamic tool used by mining professionals around the world. Developers at Maptek aren’t merely an afterthought; they are the cornerstone of our customer focus. Developing Vulcan means working with a licence base of more than 10,000 users worldwide and providing the functionality our customers need. We employ individuals who use Agile/Scrum methodology, and work collaboratively with technical support, sales, and marketing staff.
We are expanding our Sydney development team and are looking for Software Engineers proficient in C++ experience.
Core responsibilities
- Integrate new features in accordance with the software development roadmap to solve real end-user problems
- Work closely with other Maptek developers both inside and outside the Vulcan team
- Action customer reported issues and enhancement requests
- Promote software and development process quality and efficiency
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Proficient in C++ and OO programming
- 3D programming experience is highly regarded
- Organised, accurate, innovative & highly motivated with close attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills & ability to work in a team
- Experience with C#, WPF or Python would be an advantage
