The City of Sydney, one of Australia’s premier Councils, has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional to join our Technology and Digital Services Unit.
The Digital Development Manager role within the Technology and Digital Services Unit will be responsible for:
- Developing and managing a team of high quality IT professionals for development and delivery of digital applications and products to meet the changing needs of the City and its community
- Providing professional expertise and thought leadership in Application Development and Digital product delivery through web, mobile app, IoT and AI
- Management and direction of application architecture and integration across the City to inform priorities and guide investment
- Technical management and governance of all enterprise application environments
- Ensuring the quality, performance, and value for money of the City’s external contracts for application development and delivery
- Contribute to strategic planning for the continual modernisation of enterprise applications across the City
To be successful you will have:
- Demonstrated strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Strong enterprise application development background within a corporate environment
- Strong leadership experience in designing and developing enterprise application architecture - particularly web applications
- Strong .NET experience must be full stack and hands on minimum 10 years experience
- Strong SQL Server experience and hands on experience minimum 10 years experience
- Exposure to MS Dynamics, SharePoint and BizTalk
- Experience in developing middleware applications
- Worked in complex enterprise IT environments
- Demonstrated high level analytical and written skills and the ability to make evidence based recommendations
