Iteration Lead - 12 month maximum term contract

The Role

The Iteration Lead is responsible for managing the business requirements and functional solution aspects of Capricorn’s Digital Transformation Project. Operating in an Agile environment this role will work with the broader Technology team to deliver value to the organisation by building the right products, for the right customers, at the right time whilst reducing waste. Duties will include assisting in the implementation of new applications and platform, managed through small to medium sized streams of work, testing and stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Assisting in the determination of requirements, work with stakeholders and Product Owners including facilitation of workshops, stakeholder interviews and other techniques that meet business needs and align with Capricorn’s strategic direction
• Assess and validate deliverables against the architectural designs to ensure they meet the business requirements and the database relationship model
• Translating functional and business requirements into accurate user stories, acceptance criteria and process flows.
• Communicating requirement dependencies, issues or risks identified through the analysis process and address any requirement questions or issues that arise during the delivery process.
• Being responsible for running standard agile ceremonies: Backlog refinement, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo, Sprint Retrospective
• Coaching the team on agile practices such as dev ready, test ready and done
• Reporting to the PM on how the iteration or board is tracking (using Burn down chart, Burn up chart, velocity)

Experience Required

We’re also looking for skills in the following areas:

• 5+ years’ experience as an Agile BA ideally working on digital projects
• Experience with Atlassian suite of products (Jira and Confluence)
• Experience in contemporary Business Analyst practices, technology and systems relating to information, communications and quality management, including process modelling techniques and tools
• High level of IT literacy and a thorough understanding of IT systems and underlying technical architecture
• Data Warehouse or business intelligence experience will also be favourable
• A relevant tertiary qualification in a technology or business related discipline
• Foundation level certification in PRINCE2, AGILE, MSP or a similar alternative e.g. PMI PMP
