Independent Automation is a Melbourne based Building Automation company who specialise in the design, engineering, and installation of building and facilities management controls systems.
About the Role
Independent Automation is offering an ideal graduate entry level JAVA / JavaScript programming position, to join our Melbourne design and engineering team. This role will focus on JAVA / JavaScript programming with our coding team and configuration of IT based equipment. It is preferred that candidates are of a JAVA or JavaScript programming background. In house training of our software packages will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- JAVA / JavaScript programming.
- Configuration of IT equipment.
- Building front end user graphics.
- Providing office support to field technicians on site.
- Ensuring all necessary quality administration procedures are carried out to achieve efficient operations and prompt delivery of projects.
- Assist in the preparation of project feasibilities, servicing strategy plans and master plans.
- Provide high quality client service delivery in accordance with Independent Automation quality standards.
- Report to senior staff and monitor performance of projects against agreed fees/budgets.
- Liaise with other staff, project teams, stakeholders and assist in maintaining client relationships.
Skills & Experience
In addition to the duties outlined above the candidate should be able to work autonomously to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Ideally you would have also have:
- Background in a JAVA or JavaScript programming.
- A high level of computer literacy.
- Basic understanding of computer networks.
- Demonstrated understanding of project delivery process.
- Demonstrates a strong client focus.
- A proactive attitude.
- Sound time and task management skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage own time and priorities and assist the rest of the team to meet project objectives in a deadline driven work environment.
- Personal pride in quality of work and project outputs.
- Experience in taking responsibility for tasks from inception to completion ensuring a smooth workflow process.
- Ability to work autonomously and also in a team environment.
