Due to growth in our business, an opportunity exists for Helpdesk/Desktop Support Officer on a 6 Month contract.



About this role:  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install new / rebuild existing desktops/laptops and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Provide timely and efficient IT helpdesk and desktop support to all SECUREcorp end users and client based staff.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Contribute to and maintain end user system standards.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for end user administration tasks.  Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
  • Perform daily helpdesk administration and management of tickets including the timely resolution of all escalated tie 1 and 2 IT desktop support incidents.
  • Maintain all IT asset registers, local stock inventory including all hardware from desktop, laptops to smart devices and telephony/sim services. 
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 and other support per request from various constituencies.  Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Repair and recover from end user hardware or software failures.  Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
  • Provide required support to field staff and clients where necessary


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Graduate degree in computer science / IT or similar along with at least one-year relevant experience.
