Contract role for about 6 months with possible extensions|Govt Department | Brisbane CBD

Your opportunity

This positon is to work with the Project Manager, Scrum Master, the Election Gateway Project Team, and the preferred supplier to ensure the new system is operational.

The Solution Architect will work as part of a Project Team being supported by a Project Manager and Project Director.

This will involve:

• Being responsible for developing the full stack architecture for the project
• Developing technology and system architecture artefacts (solution designs, Application design, user experience design, interface and specification design)
• Providing architectural services across a highly complex environment
• Documenting solution architecture and road map
• Developing and oversighting detailed designs
• Assisting to identify best practice for data security, user and system access
• Ensure the development of the solutions including quality assurance of the artefacts
• Assisting in the preparation of project work plans with respect to architecture and design;
• Providing guidance through the Architectural Governance process
• Ensuring artefacts produced are fit for purpose, adhere to the architecture standards and patterns, and are suitable for approval to the respective governance boards
• Ensuring that project architecture artefacts are produced by the required deadlines set by project and/or release timeframes
• Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships (including Executives, business representatives, project managers, preferred supplier and Interface partners)

How you will be assessed

• 6+ years’ demonstrable experience in systems architecture
• Experience in architecting and deploying web-based and web-enabled business applications, and cloud-based architectures (Azure) and roadmaps
• Demonstrated experience in solution development, requirement analysis and experience in all aspects of the systems development life-cycle
• Experience in application modelling, including logical and physical modelling, use case and sequence diagrams and practical experience with architecture and solution modelling tools
• Development of integrated service management solutions in large and complex IT environments hosted in the cloud(Azure)
• Knowledge in designing solutions for applications/scope utilising .Net, Java, SQL, C#, object C, Android and IOS technologies
• Understand Agile Software Delivery Methodology
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, including advanced influencing and negotiating skills
• Ability to cultivate productive working relationships
• Ability to work in a proactive and collaborative way, with a focus on team delivery
