Up and coming opportunities to work with a leader in Video Compression & Streaming for real-time critical applications.

Seeking experienced Xilinx FPGA Developers experienced with Matlab System Generator to work on cutting edge FPGA development for custom built embedded hardware for new VR products.

Working within a fantastic world class team, scope will include FPGA configuration ans some System Generator (Matlab) coding and synthesis to FPGA binaries.

Specific duties will include:

  • Testing custom PCB with electronics hardware staff
  • Configure FPGA IO (Gigabit transceivers for HDMI, USB, SPI) and running testing scenarios for each of these
  • Development and testing of memory buffering structures from System Generator into the FPGA fabric (for example, given a high-speed input from the GB transceiver how do you buffer this correctly)
  • Later developments include implementation of drivers for some devices in FPGA (eg: connecting a PCIe device directly to the FPGA)

Suitable applicants will have had prior experience in performing the specific duties as listed above, in addition to relevant tertiary qualifications. Xilinx Artix 7 experience AND experience with image processing on FPGAs desirable.
