Purpose of the role

The responsibility of this role is to analyse, design, develop and deploy OpenText mBPM solutions. These deliverables will be a key enabler for a major strategic project within the department.

Key skills

  • University degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with minimum 2 years in an Agile environment
  • Business Process design and development using the OpenText MBPM (Metastorm BPM) platform
  • BPM integration via WCF/web service (via OpenText MBPM ECL Client / Web Service)
  • Database technology such as SQL/Oracle
  • .Net development using Visual Studio and C# .Net (3.5 and above)
  • Web based development using JavaScript / jQuery, HTML5, CSS3
  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design
  • Ability to communicate concepts and ideas to stakeholders at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage business pressures and stakeholder expectations whilst maintaining a high degree of motivation and professionalism
  • You have experience working in team environments using the Agile methodology to deliver complex, high-profile projects.

Accountabilities

The Senior BPM Developer will be responsible for software integration, customization, and support of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software products. You will be required to attend training as needed and support all project activities in relation to this product.

  • Prepare software requirements specifications and prototypes for translation into structured application programs.
  • Configure, debug, unit, systems, integration test and document new applications and enhancements including, but not limited to forms, reports, underlying logic and interface components on development projects as assigned.
  • Support the development of technical maintenance and support manuals.
  • Analyze, debug and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
  • Assist data engineers and other staff in ways to ensure data integrity, consistency, security and privacy.
  • Assist project manager in estimating durations for tasks, deliverables and activities.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, standards and best practices in application development, documentation, and maintenance that support the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) following iterative development approach.
  • Provide technical expertise and actively participate in creating systems development, software, hardware, and application development standards, procedures and policies
  • Design, development and deployment of web solutions
  • Frontend development (prototype & wireframe) using HTML5 and JavaScript, aligning to UX designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Unit-test code for robustness, usability, and general reliability
  • Bug resolution and improvement of application performance
  • Version Control & be responsible for all Change Management activities of the solution, along with associated documentation
  • Assist with writing and scoping future technical requirements
  • Create and improve practises within Agile solution delivery

On Offer - This is an initial contract until November 2018 with the high chance of ongoing extensions based in Burwood.
