We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to join our Online Team based in our Store Support Office in North Geelong.  Later this year we will be moving to a brand new purpose built facility in Williams Landing in Melbourne with flexible support in the interim to work between Geelong and Melbourne hot desk offices.

About our Role

Reporting to our Online Operations Manager, the UX Designer will be working collaboratively as part of the customer mobility team and broader UX team within Target to create and deliver exceptional mobile experiences that meet our core customer needs and align with the strategic direction and Target Values.

This role will require experience in developing processes and strategies in the research space, understanding of designing with patterns and within systems and the confidence to manage stakeholders expectations.

Other key responsibilities may include:

• Working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver outstanding work whilst maintaining the vision and meeting deadlines
• Evolve process in the research space and take team members on the journey to see the benefits
• Maintain strategic, creative, technical and digital design guidelines ensuring compliance to standards ensuring useability, clean CSS and SEO requirements and standards are met
• Adhere to all web processes in relation to briefings, conceptualising, wireframes, photography, page builds, artwork approvals, proof-reading, testing, uploads and general housekeeping
• Lead the Target vision, strategy and values within the team and across the organization

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong strategic and research skills along with working experience as a UX Designer. Knowledge in digital design practices for e-commerce, ideally within a retail environment and an understanding of current digital design principles and trends is desirable. Experience in working with responsive websites, in-store digital, apps and mobile interfaces along with knowledge of UX principles along with competency in using e-commerce content management systems and confidence in working with stakeholders to gain buy-in and sign off on visual executions is essential.
