Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and well-rounded senior .NET developer to join our team of experienced developers and technical professionals.

You will be responsible for planning, building, releasing and supporting all software in the backend of the Homely platform.

Alongside technical prowess, we particularly look for individuals with a "can-do" attitude, a willingness to jump in and help with any problem, always looking for new ways to solve problems, and continued evaluation of work, process and output to ensure great products get out in the best possible way.

What you will be doing

• Building out new systems using the latest technologies

• Discuss, plan, estimate and design technical solutions

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure development effort is aligned with key business objectives

• Supporting existing legacy systems, and migrating them to shiny new platforms

• Investigate and squash bugs

• Provide data reports to help drive key business decisions

• Maintenance, monitoring and upgrades to our cloud-based infrastructure

• Making sure all systems are healthy, ensuring the Homely heart beats strong!

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building systems for web or mobile applications

• Extensive experience across the .NET stack (C#)

  • Experience building RESTful APIs in .NET

  • Experience building cloud-based processing components

  • Experience writing and tuning SQL queries

• Well versed in Git version control

• Passion for code quality, performance and scalability - driven by metrics

Desired skills (but not required)

• Experience building microservices

• Experience using containers (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience with Microsoft Azure

• DevOps (build, deploy, monitoring)

• Presence in the open source community
