About the Job

In this newly created role, you’ll have oversight of all technology changes and releases in a highly integrated, multi-vendor environment, ensuring that customer and technology impacts are effectively managed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement an overarching Change and Release framework that ensures ongoing governance of system and solutions changes
  • Responsible and accountable for management of all releases and changes across operations and projects
  • Ensure that all releases/changes by vendors are validated and have passed through the relevant release stages, including testing
  • Support stakeholders by evaluating the associated risks and impacts of changes and overseeing the overall forward schedule of change
  • Negotiate downtime for systems or solutions services with business stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to services
  • Ensure maintenance and distribution of any associated release and change documentation and information, including negotiating agreement for the change with business representatives
  • Provide responsive support and coordination in the event that escalation is required
  • Hold regular change and release performance reviews with business, vendors and Internal Stakeholders to discuss areas of success and areas of concern

About You:

You’re an experienced Change and Release professional, with a technical background encompassing development, infrastructure and software. Aside from highly-developed verbal and written communication skills, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, high attention to detail, organisational skills, the ability to work alone and in a team, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously, you’ll also bring to us:

  • Relevant tertiary or technical qualifications (ITIL V3) or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional knowledge of system development lifecycle
  • Extensive experience in governing and ensuring compliance to a change and release framework
  • Proven track record in creating, reviewing, documenting and improving processes/work instructions
  • Experience with IT service management software applications and automated testing
  • Demonstrated experience working with and coordinating multiple vendors
