My client a leading global telecom brand is looking to hire Fibre Network Planner and Designer for a permanent role

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Planning and Designing of FTTx Networks using MapInfo, AutoCAD, spatial net
• End to end delivery services including Detail Design in MapInfo, FIR, Construction Plans, Project Costing (BOM/BOQ)
• Creating APD - HLD design packages and submissions
• Creating FDDD Pack deliverables
• Coordinating with the Field Teams for required information
• Preparation of Field Inspection documents and maps, validating field inputs.
• Preparing and interpreting specifications, drawings and regulations for the use of Telecommunications equipment.
• Selecting and developing new telecommunications sites by locating sites, filing documents, drawing up documents for approval, drafting construction drawings and following through to approval
• Create detail design for outside plant in MapInfo and send to build team • Update/ Reserve physical inventory in system
• Communicate with field teams for any additional data / clarification required
• Assist build team while construction
• Understand design aspects for fibre rollout
• Check existing plant details in GIS tools like MapInfo, Spatial net • Validate survey reports and site design received from Field team
• Create drawing in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio if required
• Initiate work orders for material and implementation
• Experience of field coordination and vendor escalations
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
• Extensive hands-on experience in plan and design of fibre / copper network

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in Telecom domain
• Experience in Spatial NET, MapInfo, AutoCAD preferred
• Design Experience on NBN and Telstra Networks
• Good Knowledge of NBN MTM Architecture
• Knowledge of OSP, Fibre, Copper & other emerging technologies
• Experience in FTTx planning and design activities. Preferable if worked on multiple technology like FTTN, FTTB, FTTC and FTTP
