What we're looking for?
We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to help deliver amazing best-in-class experiences for our clients. You have to be well versed with methodologies such as Lean UX, Lean Startup and of course the HCD principals; but most importantly for a self starter looking to make this role their own!
Working within a growing UX Design practice - you’ll be crafting experiences for our clients on-site and within the Studio. You’ll be super keen to get involved with a Hack day or two (we like to keep it interesting); helping push the OVO design brand where-ever you go.
A job made for you
- Facilitate workshops (with either a Lean UX or similar approach); to help uncover problem statements and assumptions that can be used to guide the design process.
- Translate concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences for our clients.
- Facilitate client’s product visions by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for digital products.
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and prototypes optimised for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Help support the Principal Designer with strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
- Take a human-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
- Mentor junior designers and help them develop to the next level.
- Get involved and help organise Design rituals for Designers out in the field.
- Take smart risks and champion new ideas.
Other cool stuff you get to do
- Be apart of an awesome Design team, and get to work with Tier 1 & 2 clients
- Get involved with a start-up and earn equity
- OVO Design Jam sessions with the wider team
Thing we are looking for
- 5 years of solid design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
- Ability to craft solutions with the usual UX software such as Sketch, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer.js, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
- Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
- Ability to translate wires to mid/high fidelity design (preferably using Sketch)
- Ability to translate those designs into clickable prototypes for user testing (preferably using Invision)
- Advanced experience in using experience design best practices to design solutions, and a basic understanding of mobile-first and responsive design (we'll get you up to speed).
- An experienced understanding of human-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns.
- Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
- Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
- Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them.
- Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
- Be passionate about all things design and innovation.
- Visual Design skills are a super bonus ;)
- Happy to go for coffee runs, clear the dish washer… (just checking if you were still reading).

- Proven ability to work autonomously and deliver against allocated work streams.
