Randstad are on the lookout for a System Analyst to be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications and defining software requirements and specifications in order to ensure that the final solutions meet the business’ technical requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the client’s applications by building close relationships with key Tolling branch members, understanding the Business’ operations and systems and interacting with the vendors.
- Determine the potential solutions for the Business’ requirements by analysing existing software applications and determining approaches, which will improve user interface, performance and data integrity.
- Translate requirements of the Business into highly technical specifications by documenting program parameters and specifications into a software requirements specification.
- Guide software developers to ensure technical integrity of the design by analysing problems in software development and recommending rectification of faults in programs.
- Establish and maintain sound commercial relationships with the vendor support teams by engaging vendors in the problem solving process.
- Assist Incident Analyst to restore normal application service operations as quickly as possible by applying technical skills and expertise for resolution of incidents.
To succeed in this role you have:
- Degree Qualifications in Computing Science / Information Technology or Engineering from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications.
- Proven experience in systems analysis and design and software development
- Demonstrated experience in writing SQL queries.
- Sound knowledge of project management and software development lifecycles.
- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills with a high degree of technical competence and ability to develop solutions.
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to deal tactfully with people at all levels including senior staff consultants and vendors.
- Well-developed organisation skills and the ability to set priorities to ensure customer satisfaction and service level targets are met.
