Professional Audio & Television Pty Ltd is a leading distributor of professional broadcast equipment in Australia and New Zealand, with our head office located in Hornsby, Sydney.  We sell, configure, install and commission systems for brands such as LAWO, ARISTA, DirectOut Technologies, RTW, ROSS VIDEO, sonoVTS, Genelec, CyanView, Boland Communications and various others.

A position for a Service and Support Engineer has become available, performing the following tasks and duties:

  • Understanding all of PAT’s brands on a technical level, and to be able to manage first & second level support enquiries from customers
  • Provide technical service and support and manage all service and support cases including escalating issues to the appropriate person either within PAT or with the appropriate manufacturer
  • Provide technical support during system design, configuration, installation and commissioning
  • Setup and configure systems for customer inspection, training and commissioning
  • Provide technical support to the sales department and assist in system designs

To be successful in this role you will possess the following attributes and characteristics:

  • Have held a similar role for at least 3 years within the broadcast industry
  • Are very customer focused and dedicated to solve service and support issues for our customers
  • Have an understanding of, and keen interest in IP switches, broadcast equipment, broadcast control systems and anything else related to broadcast audio and television
  • Have a keen eye for detail and be able to manage your time while multitasking
  • Have a very professional telephone manner and be able interact with all levels of personnel - from junior techs to MD’s.
  • Be punctual, self driven and willing to ‘go the extra mile’ for the greater good of the company and your career
  • Highly responsible, trustworthy and very well presented
  • Have a current drivers license

It would be advantageous but not essential if you fulfill the following criteria:

  • Have worked in a television and/or radio station
  • Have technical experience with any of the brands we represent
