Our Client, a mid sized and highly effective and very inclusive Federal Government Department are seeking a Java Developer to work in bespoke Java systems to snapshot and crunch source data to generate financial transaction data and interface with a financial system using established integration patterns.

The primary duties of the Java Developer will include:

• Write, test and maintain computer systems to meet the application needs of the end-users.
• Analyse, review and rewrite code components of software programs.
• Prepare technical documentation that communicates system proposals and implementation details.
• Work with stakeholders and end-users to determine and document requirements for applications.
• Contribute to the ongoing architecture of enterprise business systems delivery in DHA.
  

To be considered for this Java Developer role you must possess:

• 5 plus years’ experience working as a Java developer.
• A current BASELINE security clearance.
• Previous experience within in Financial Systems environment (especially Finance One) (desired, but not mandatory).
• Highly developed technical skills specifically in SQL, Java and software design techniques.
• Extensive experience in a Data orientated environment.
• Experience with Java 8, Oracle RDMBS, Oracle PL/SQL, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate and JIRA.
• Show initiative and resilience in a demanding and dynamic environment.
