Established in 2002, JCT Healthcare Pty Ltd (JCT) provide innovative and robust hardware and software solutions to the Healthcare industry. We are a specialist provider of Assistive Technology and Nurse Call Systems, which can be customised to meet the evolving needs of our customers. JCT has developed its own range of Hardware Nurse call products, and in-house NuCaMS Nurse Call Software including a range of Android applications for staff and clients to utilise. We provide direct sales and support to end user clients in Hospitals, Acute Care Facilities, Aged Care Facilities, Disability Care Facilities and supported independent living residences. JCT has a network of Channel Partners and Resellers across Australia who sell and implement our Hardware and Software solutions.

The role
In this role you will design, develop and support software products and product components. You will be working on developing Android and cross platform applications, API integrations, and other custom functionality.  Working in a small team of software developers, and the hardware engineering team, our goal is to develop the highest quality solutions available to the market. This includes ensuring products are stable, usable, robust and can be reliably delivered to customers, maintained and upgraded.  In conjunction with the Software Team Lead, you will lead the web and mobile applications development for the company. This includes providing support to project delivery and account management as well as timely support to customers.

Key responsibilities & attributes

• Web and Mobile Applications Development experience primarily in Web and Android application development, so you must be confident supporting the key JCT applications in both environments
• IOS application development is considered an advantage but not a mandatory requirement.
• 3+ years commercial web and android application development experience
• Skills and experience in HTML/CSS/JS/PHP/Java and understanding of responsive techniques
• Good SQL and query optimisation abilities & understanding of HTML mark up
• Version control experience, using both command line and cloud-based tools such as GitHub
• Good documentation skills and experience writing functional specifications
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices
• Experience with web technology based mobile development tools and frameworks such as React, Cordova is highly regarded
• Experience with IOS, C#, and other programming languages is considered an advantage
• Web and Mobile Application Development, Maintenance and Support (Primarily Android, but IOS an advantage)
• Must be able to create high-quality code
• Providing input, advice, and recommendations through the project lifecycle, from needs analysis and wire framing to design, development, deployment and post-deployment performance tweaks
• Effectively estimate, with a high degree of accuracy, the time required to work on certain project components and meet those deadlines
• Create documentation and functional specifications
• Ensure that all performance indicator measurements are met
• You will be self-motivated with a positive attitude, able to work with supervisory direction to deliver results. 
• Be a genuine and supportive team player able to work effectively in a small team 
• Remain proactive in looking at new solutions and innovations that can be applied to client projects and the JCT product solution as a whole
• Able to work autonomously with minimal immediate supervision
• Assisting with R & D, and project delivery
• Participate in On Call roster where required
