POSITION ROLE SUMMARY
The Technical Lead is chartered with overall responsibility for the delivery of the Technical components of the Scope, Design and Prototype of the financial solution to ensure it is delivered to the approved requirements and deliverables as outlined.
  
Working with the selected vendor, the Technical Lead will undertake the following duties:                                                                                   
  
  • Follow and provide input into the overall Architecture development methodology to develop the target state architecture
  • Understand the current state environment, specifically dependant system of records and systems of engagement, consult with external vendors, technology delivery teams, enterprise architect, security, infrastructure architect, operations, business analysts and delivery leads as required
  • In conjunction with the Project Manager and Vendor, Prepare appropriate artefacts i.e. Project Definition Document, any decision trees, solutions for review during solution assurance / governance
  • Prepare and lead workshops
  • Provide technical input into Business case, change strategy and test strategy as required 
  
Provide input into the following artefacts:
  
  • Logical system design, covering:
    • o Infrastructure – HA & Load Balancing, Data Flows, Data Encryption, Disaster Recovery, Remote Support/Access, Compliance
    • o Data model (keeping this agnostic as possible)
    • o System Integration - Define interface contracts, APIs, standards, schema, protocol transformations, orchestration and business rules to be coded by the integration team.
      • For example:
      • Integration with JDE, Data Warehouse etc
      • Identity & Access Management – using Azure AD

Experience

A broad knowledge of IT and business standards, methodologies, best practices surrounding ITIL, SDLC, and PMP methodologies.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering a solution that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities.
  • Knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints.
  • Previous experience or exposure to IFS or similar ERP systems
  • Need to be a pragmatic professional - skilled at balancing overall Architecture requirements with business demands and identifying solutions that are fit for purpose but also meet required standards.
  • Translates non-functional and functional requirements into design, within enterprise context.
  • Previous experience with IFS Applications is desirable/financial accounting packages in engineering /construction 
  • Strong track record in managing stakeholders and vendor relationships 
  
Technical experience
  
Exposure to the following services and platform is an advantage
  
  • Design and Construction application experience an advantage
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite (Azure AD, Information Protection and InTune MDM)
  • Oracle Application suite (specifically JDE, Peoplesoft)
  • Exposure to cloud services offered by AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform
  • Application Integration methodologies, frameworks and technologies
  • Previous exposure to IFS Applications is desirable
