Our client is looking for a Full Stack Java Developer to help drive the technical side of an exciting new project. The project is developing a dynamic and efficient e-commerce/data management platform that delivers fundraising programs and allows for revenue sharing for the beneficiary organisations.
As a member of the team you will be responsible for interfacing directly with like-minded innovative project founders (Directors) in a casual environment in plush offices in Melbourne CBD.
This role will not only involve hands-on development, but also working with the Directors to clearly articulate their thoughts and ideas, be innovative and driven to create simple, elegant code and ensure best practices are consistently being used.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Utilise desirable technologies such as AWS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Angular.js, SQL (also open to new ideas and flavours)
• Passion to code best practices and standards
• Help plan and manage a program roadmap and future features
• Testing and quality assurance
Education, Experience and Required Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent
• Hands-on experience in backend/data focus - front end can be secondary as another employee can help in this area
• Excellent all-round skills across JavaScript, Node.js, Angular.js, SQL (open to other technologies)
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• High attention to detail and testing protocols
• Knowledge of server infrastructure / AWS web services
• Management of GIT repositories and workflow, quality checks, deployments to staging & live environments.
• Must be able to provide advice and expertise on the technical roadmap and ensure that all aspects of the product shipped to production are of the highest quality.
• Must be a highly motivated and passionate about continuous learning.
