THE ROLE:
To prepare for the next phase of growth a new requirement exists for a Software Development Lead to join and guide a highly competent and passionate team. In this position you will take ownership of a strong team to deliver amazing products.
Your role as a technical leader will require you to work with others inside and outside your team to deliver for the customers and the business, and to use your knowledge of delivery and software engineering best practice to shape the team's methodology, deliver on the strategic direction for engineering processes, and build a strong and trusting relationship
This is a critical role for the evolution of the organisation, and will provide input in a number of key areas, including:
- Team and people leadership
- Technical leadership
- Lead by example (exemplary hands on coder)
- Product ownership
People leadership:
The role will be a line management position, with oversight of hiring and firing, team performance and management, and growth.
Technical excellence:
The successful candidate will be passionate about coding and will possess a high level of ability and can lead by example using the current technology stack. This includes:
- .Net (ASP.Net)
- C#, VB.Net
- WPF
As well, the organisation has a cloud BI platform, and they also use several different custom-built tools as well as off the shelf products which are heavily customised.
Therefore any of the following experience in addition to the mandatory requirements would be extremely valuable:
- Yellowfin or other BI packages
- Data transfer/replication tools, such as SymmetricDS
- LabTech or similar products
- API experience
Product ownership aspirations:
Any product ownership skills or exposure will be highly regarded in the next phase of organisational growth.
