Job description- Wintel Administrator

 

 10 - 12 years of Wintel, Virtualization, Exchange, LYNC 2013, SFB & Enterprise voice experience.

 As a Wintel administrator you will part of team with the responsibility of installing, configuring, and supporting a customer’s Windows Server 2012 R2 and latest Operating System, VMware vCenter 6.0 and ESXi 6.0 Virtual infrastructure, LYNC 2013 or Skype for Business and Enterprise Voice. This includes performing necessary maintenance and monitoring to provide continuous availability, capacity, security and performance of Windows services.

 

Wintel Day to day tasks would include, but not be limited to, the following:

 Knowledge on Active Directory services and File Server Management

 Configuration and managing of Windows Roles and Features e.g. File Server, DNS, DHCP and Web services etc.

 Troubleshooting Windows server 2012 R2

 Installing & Configuring VMware (ESXi)

 Installing and configuring VMware Virtual Centre

 Configuring Virtual Data Centre, High Availability(HA) and Distribution Resource Scheduler(DRS)

 Create and manage hierarchical Resource pools for admission control and manage the pools’ resources

 Creating virtual machines and templates with different OS like windows and Linux

 Snapshot Management

 Configure, Manage and Upgrade Cisco UCS 5108, B200 M2 blades, Fabric Interconnects IOM

 Troubleshooting vMotion related issues.

 Performance troubleshooting for VMs and Hypervisors.

 Providing capacity reports in weekly basis to the management for augmenting the Infra.

 Creating virtual switches configuring on vCenter.

 Capacity planning

 

LYNC Day to day tasks would include, but not be limited to, the following:

 Support and maintain a Lync 2013 / Skype for Business environment throughout the company

 Configure support and maintain unified messaging

 Setup and maintain federation services

 Monitoring and optimization of call quality

 Troubleshoot common and advanced issues

 L3 Lync 2013 Administrator / Skype for Business - MUST demonstrate proven past experience on Lync – Including Data, Voice and Messaging.

 Experience in upgrading, installing, configuring, designing and migrating to Lync 2013 / SFB

Sensitivity: Internal & Restricted

 Must demonstrate experience to support, optimize and maintain Microsoft LYNC 2013 / SFB infrastructure with high availability

 Should be able to make HLD and LLD for Lync and should have experience creating design presentations on Lync 2013 / Skype for Business

 Should have Lync with Enterprise Voice experience namely:

 Experience in Lync 2013 / Skype for Business with full Voice and Video integration is highly desired.

 Experience in utilizing Lync as a PBX replacement

 Experience integrating Lync with Call Control application e.g. Cisco or Avaya

 Experience in setting up Standard and Enterprise edition of Lync 2013 and knowledge on deploying Remote Site and Central Site

 Must have experience working with Exchange, Lync and Voice related technologies

At least 10 - 12 years of Wintel, Virtualization and LYNC 2013 Enterprise voice experience.

 Thorough knowledge of Windows Servers and Virtualization Technologies

 Basic knowledge on Microsoft Exchange

 Basic working knowledge of TCP/IP networking

 Problem determination and analysis skills

 Documentation skills
