About the business and the role
Probiotec Limited is an ASX-listed pharmaceutical company based in Melbourne (20 mins from the city). We have a reputation for producing high quality health products, both for contract manufacturing customers and our own branded products.
We have an approachable and supportive head-office team and manufacturing staff, that you would work alongside in this role.
Job tasks and responsibilities
This role is designed to support desktop users and to manage and monitor a number of mission-critical IT systems. On-the-job training will be provided to familiarise you with our systems, environment and processes.
Desktop Support
- Desktop support for approximately 60 head office users.
- Desktop support for 6 remote users.
- Remote support tools available.
Systems Management
- Virtualised server infrastructure, running the VMWare virtualisation suite.
- On-site ERP system (QAD Enterprise Applications).
- Backup infrastructure and disaster recovery.
- Multiple local and cloud hosted services.
As a growing company, the requirements of roles change and grow regularly and problem-solving is a routine part of the job. Having a flexible approach to new situations is a must for this role.
Skills and experience
All applicants must have the following at a minimum:
- A real passion for technology and IT.
- A Bachelors degree in an IT or computer science field.
- Experience in an enterprise IT environment.
- Experience with a virtualised server environment.
- Good communication skills.
- A positive attitude.
- An interest in learning and developing skills in a professional environment.
- A drivers license and vehicle.
The following are not required, but skills we'd love to see:
- Experience working with ERP systems, especially QAD / MFGpro or a SAP-style system.
- Experience managing Active Directory.
- Experience with Windows Server configuration and management.
- Any relevant networking qualifications (i.e. Cisco Certified training courses).
- Familiarity with Office365.
