About the Role 

We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team on full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the DevOps Lead, the role will drive DevOps practises for AGL’s Digital Platform and working on refining and automating a micro services based platform build on top of Microsoft Azure and the Sitecore Experience platform

AGL's Data and Decisioning Team is a collection of highly engaged, innovative, empowered, co-located scrum teams that work together using the Scaled Agile Framework for enterprises (SAFe). By surfacing insights collected from data through the digital platform to our customers, this team is looking at better ways of engaging our customers and being proactive in ways we can service their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Helping manage VSTS service for CICD and GitHub and Azure Deployments of ARM templates of infrastructure
• Building/Managing  CICD pipelines (Infra and Applications)
• Working in either scrum (embedded in a team) or Kanban (managing the core platform)
• Troubleshooting incidents across environments/Ingestion and Dashboards in Splunk
• Assisting with the Automation Initiative at AGL (Helping traditional IT automate and simplify)

About You

• Proven expertise in the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, PowerShell, Continuous Integration/Delivery using Bamboo, Octopus, VSTS (or other CI/CD tooling).
• Deploy and manage web apps hosted in Microsoft Azure at scale
• Deep understanding of version control systems such as TFS, GIT (preference for distributed version management systems). Skills in administering websites at scale
• High level of proficiency with PowerShell, BASH or other scripting languages like Python/Ruby/Perl
• Some web development experience (ASP .Net, angular, etc)
