Department Overview:

The Desktop Support role is part of the global Operations team and provides direct local technical support of Tibra’s desktop environment as well as providing operational support to Tibra’s team of infrastructure engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high quality prompt first line support of Tibra’s Windows based desktop environment including setup, migration, upgrade and maintenance of hardware, operating systems and software / applications.
  2. Ensure daily housekeeping of backup systems and backup restorations are performed as required under policy.
  3. Provide support to the Infrastructure Engineers for server builds and data centre maintenance.
  4. Produce and update relevant documentation in a timely manner.
  5. Diagnose basic network issues and configuration changes.
  6. Liaise with vendors and other service providers to achieve the best outcomes for Tibra.
  7. Support the planning and execution of Operation’s project work.
  8. Carry out any other Operations related requests from Team Leader or Head of Operations

Experience and Skills:

  1. Experience working on systems in a real-time environment.
  2. Experience working in an environment with substantial custom software support.
  3. Ability to prioritise workflow based on urgency, complexity and size.
  4. Be a reliable quick thinker who can work under pressure.
  5. Strong problem solving skills.
  6. Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Team player but who is also a self-starter that can work independently.

  • You will be required to pass a criminal history check.
