About the role
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
We are looking for a highly motivated, structured leader who wants to make a difference and take a team of highly skilled IT professionals to the next level. As a delivery manager within Core Banking you will lead a team responsible for maintaining and enhancing Suncorp’s Core Banking Platform. You will be accountable for delivering both the
Core Banking Platform’s portfolio as well as BAU lights on activities. You will also have a responsibility for people management, building and maintaining a high performing team.
Key responsibilities of the role will include
- Work closely with the Portfolio Manager to define and manage the pipeline of work flowing into Core Banking.
- Manage team operations, including portfolio planning, resource workload, financial governance, processes/procedures and risk management.
- Provide technical advice and thought leadership to senior management and customers with a view to influence business strategy, deliver technical solutions that drives innovation through business outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, suppliers and other teams to ensure accountable deliverables meet expectations with time, scope and cost.
- As required participating in 24x7 critical incident events to ensure a timely and successful service restoration
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or similar, or equivalent years of practical experience.
- 10 years+ technology industry experience required.
- Experience in leading a team responsible for the maintenance and improvement of a large enterprise application.
- Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent knowledge/experience in IT delivery methodologies or project management.
- Proven capability in contributing to the strategic direction of an organisation.
