Our client is one of Australia's largest wealth management organisations with a focus on people before profits. They are currently looking for an End User Specialist to focus on managing the relationship between the business and vendor whilst ensuring the best possible outcome is delivered for all end users.

You will be responsible for coordinating a variety of activities such as ensuring the End-User environment meets business requirements, managing data centre infrastructure, hardware/software procurement and asset management. Although this is not a hands-on technical role, a strong background in desktop technology including Microsoft 10, Citrix, VPN would be beneficial. We are also hoping you will bring some strong data analysis to the data (Excel) so that you can interpret trends and improve service outcomes.

Your key responsibility will include:
  • Supporting end-user needs and analysing/understanding the gaps in current services, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensuring that planned and unplanned disruptions to end-user services and applications are minimised through effective change and incident management.
  • Working with the Managed Service Provider(s) to ensure the availability of a reliable, robust, and secure infrastructure environment to support the Agency's production, disaster recovery, and test & development workloads.
  • Understanding current and forecasted Infrastructure capacity requirements and, where necessary, make recommendations for the provision of additional capacity.
  • Maintaining a register of annual software maintenance and support renewals and, working in conjunction with the Technology Strategy function, ensure that forecast renewal costs are incorporated into the annual IT budget.
  • Establishing and communicating a consistent and holistic view of the Agency's "BAU' priorities to managed service provider(s), and work to ensure that managed service provider activity is executed consistently with established priorities.
  • Measuring managed service provider(s) performance across agreed service levels and key performance indicators. Where performance is below the agreed level work with the managed service provider to determine
 To be successful in this role you will require:
  • Significant experience in similar, ideally from a Financial Services or Managed Service Provider.
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain excellent customer and peer relationships, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in understanding, designing and delivering IT services that are of high quality and highly customer-focused.
  • Experience in manipulating and analysing data using tools such as Excel. (Experience with Tableau and PowerBI would also be highly regarded)
  • Proven ability to work with managed service providers.
  • Australian Citizenship (Mandatory - Must be able to go through security clearance)
  • ITIL Certification (Highly regarded)
