Developer/Cloud Engineer - Microservices & API

We are looking for an experienced Developer (Microservices & APIs) to join us in our quest.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design, implement, deploy and test services using the latest technologies and best practices
• Development and implementation of microservices using cloud-native architecture principles - serverless or container based as applicable
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on the latest techniques and industry trends and practices. Advise them on how to implement and leverage these approaches in the context of their objectives and environment
• Build proxies on API management platforms such as Apigee, Layer 7 or gateway platforms such as AWS and Azure gateway including mashups, rate limiting, security, analytics, monetization and developer portals
• Communicate risks, issues, challenges and status/progress of the project
• Assist Integration Architects in defining the integration and API roadmap, strategy and solution, and in responding to RFPs / proposals
• Work with the team to document requirements, design, architecture and test scripts

 Mandatory Requirements:

• 6-8 years of development experience using Java, .NET, or JavaScript, with experience designing and building REST APIs and Microservices
• Solid understanding of SOA and Microservice design patterns 
• Understanding of cloud computing models(IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) and exposure to Cloud providers like AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Hands-on experience defining APIs using OpenAPI (Swagger) or other API definition language. Solid understanding of WSDL/SOAP/XML and REST/JSON.
• Previous experience of implementing security and identity protocols such as OpenID, TLS, OAuth, SAML, SSO, PKI (encryption and key management)

Good to have:

• Experience in SOA middleware (Oracle, Mulesoft, IBM, or TIBCO) and building SOAP/HTTPS web services would be a bonus
• Certification in one or more of these platforms would be a bonus
• Experience implementing services on the cloud - AWS, Azure or GCP including exposure to Functions as a Service, Containers, and IaaS
• Experience in basic administration on the cloud (iPaaS / SaaS)
• Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes
• Exposure to Spring frameworks – Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot

Location is flexible to Sydney or Melbourne but may require travel.
