As the Head of Technology, you will play an instrumental leadership role within our client's business, bringing the current silo sector Technology teams together into one National IT team. Functions currently duplicated across multiple Business Units are being grouped together into Technology Centre of Excellence. Key to success will be navigating the organisation’s new technology strategy, creating innovative solutions with new technology, whilst utilising legacy systems to their fullest. You will need to navigate across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
In this role we expect a leader that can build a clear technology roadmap by connecting vision to product innovation. You will be an integral part of the executive team in providing expertise on how to build and deploy scalable technology during merging of the separate technology teams into one high performing unit.
This phase demands a leader eager to strategize about the future needs of a growing business, while serving their clients and building a world-class technology team. In this role you will be leading the group that develops and delivers the products which are offered to its customers, with a team of 25-30 professionals.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Strategy – Working with the leadership team to create a technology strategy that supports the short and long-term ambitions of the organisation
- Leadership - Actively lead and role model behaviours to deliver a high performing team and culture, taking them on a journey through the transformation.
- Stakeholders – Create beneficial relationships with senior technology leaders internal and external to identify best of class technology and strategy implementation methods
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive senior ICT team leadership with over 7 years of experience in technology management
- Drive, energy and infectious passion for the business and the customer.
- Strong people leadership skills, proven ability to take others on a journey through change.
- Visible leader with presence and charisma who is able to communicate at all levels and across different styles.
- Experienced in a client facing delivery role would be ideal but not essential
- Strong technical understanding around software and infrastructure (i.e. cloud, big data, etc.)
- Experienced working in large corporate or government environments
