We are working with a very large company going through a huge platform migration, moving from a COBOL based system to a more modern system built with Microsoft technologies. 

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to develop a back end functionality that is available in the old system but not the new one. This requires someone who can get to grips with existing architecture, understands event orchestration and can develop a function which will call web services in the appropriate order.

There are many similar bits of work in the overall program so the chances of redeployment and contract extensions are high

• At least 10 years of current development experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server in an n-tier architecture.
• Extensive Experience with Web Services, WCF and Service Oriented Architecture 
• Strong background in object oriented development techniques
• Solution Design Patterns and Best Practices, e.g. SOA
• Database design and development (Microsoft SQL Server)
• Experience with concurrent development source control (Git) and continuous integration 
• In depth Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
• Passion for technology and knowledge
