Technical Business Intelligence Analyst

My client are a major enterprise organisation who are about to commence a huge, long-term DW/Data store build and are seeking a Technical BI Business Analyst to come on-board ASAP.

To be considered you will need the following skills and experience :

• 5+ years as a Business Intelligence Business Analyst in Information Management Programs
• Formal certification such as CAP (Certified Analytics Professional), ORACLE BI or MCSE Data Management and Analytics
• Expert in working with the business to construct clear and unambiguous use cases (functional requirements)
• Experienced in the definition and analysis of complex data models to map data sources across various systems (data lineage)
• Design and develop reports, dashboards and visualisations (UI/UX)
• Hands on technical background in Oracle SQL, DataStage, Tableau, Alteryx and IBM Infosphere ETL will be highly regarded
• Excellent communication and Problem Solving skill

 
It is expected that you will have in-depth technical Experience in several of the following Systems and Tools :

• Agile Collaboration Tools: JIRA, Confluence
• Visualisation Tools: Tableau 10.3 (primary), SAP Lumira, MS Power BI
• Analytics Tools: SQL Script, Alteryx, SAP BW/BI, Tableau, IBM Infosphere, IGC
• Data Model: Star Schemas, Entity-Relationship (ER) Models, OLAP, Multi-Dimensional Cubes, Data Warehousing
• RDBMS Data Sources: SAP PPM/PS, SAP FI, BW, P6 Primavera, Oracle DB
• Online digital data sources: Google Analytics, Social Media (Facebook, Twitter etc), Websites/pages
• Data Handling: Qualitative Data, Quantitative Data, Python, XML/JSON (Structured/Semi-Structured/Unstructured Data)
• Data Quality and ETL: Data acquisition, cleansing, manipulation, integrity checking, lineage automated scheduling (data refresh) 
• Predictive modelling: Data preparation, analysis and visualization
• MS Excel: Pivot table analysis, VLookup, Interactive KPI dashboard, Data analysis and business modelling

You will be a confident, self-starter with a solid combination of Business Analysis and requirements gathering skills, coupled with strong BI/analytics tools. You will have proven, recent, relevant local experience working with end-user organisations.
