iOS software engineering expert sought to architect app and build team for start-up which has received backing from extremely high profile investors.

The first funding round has raised $7m and some big names in the technology entrepreneurial game are putting their weight behind it.

At present there is only a handful of employees, so this role represents an opportunity to be part of something big from the outset. 

The company is prepared to pay whatever salary is necessary in order to secure the best talent, and there will also be share options as part of the package.

Main Requirements
  
The right candidate will have proven years of experience working in the iPhone application development space and including successful experience creating apps and/or development libraries/plugins for these platforms natively (objective C) or within app frameworks.

Your hands-on knowledge building apps from ground up will be crucial to your success. The ability to be a good team player under tight deadline constraints is key to success. You will be working in a collaborative environment but you will be afforded the opportunity to put your own stamp on things and indeed build your own team as the company inevitably grows.
  
  
Key Qualifications         

• Strong background in software engineering including a relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related discipline
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO Design 
• Minimum of 4+ years' professional experience as an iOS (Objective-C/SWIFT) developer
• Unit and UI Test Automation
• Ability to prioritise, communicate clearly, and partner effectively with both technical and non-technical employees 
• Proficient understanding of the performance challenges in iOS development and the methods to overcome them
• Experience with integrating with social media APIs and other 3rd party libraries into iOS application
• Experience developing in Android advantageous too
