A global ERP leader in their field is seeking a dynamic Software Development Manager (SDM) to join their Melbourne branch- leading the national Software Development Team. This role will focus on software development/delivery, leadership of tech teams and management of key stakeholders.
This opportunity is a key leadership position working alongside both technologists (developers, architects, DevOps, etc.) as well as Senior Management. It spans technology and project management and requires the successful candidate to have a strong background in technology (ideally ERP environment) as well as upwardly facing stakeholder management skills. You will understand the different roles people play across the whole software and project lifecycle and be able to lead agile teams in the delivery large scale enterprise solutions.
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- 7+ years’ experience working in a technology-focused software management role.
- A strong technical background, ideally in ERP software development.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery.
- Excellent technical understanding around software and infrastructure (cloud, big data, etc.)
As a seasoned professional you will:
- Have drive, energy and an infectious passion for the business and the customer.
- Be a visible leader with presence and charisma who is a straight-talking individual able to communicate at all levels and across different styles.
- Demonstrate a proven ability of taking people on a journey through change.
- Have recent, previous experience in a client facing delivery role (this would be ideal, not essential).
- Show the ability to build relationships and manage senior level stakeholders effectively.
- Have experience of working in large corporate and Gov’t environments.

You will have first class interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with both technical teams and business-focused stakeholders.
