Front End Developer (low level JavaScript) required for major development projects for a Global Financial Services firm. 

You'll report to the Lead BA in Sydney via the Head of SW Development (LDN). You'll be working with a highly knowledgeable local team (in SYD) ie a highly knowledgeable BA and the .NET Server team to integrate components with the back end system APIs. 

The nature of the projects will involve large scale new feature development for the roll out of new instruments / markets across the globe.

Although Financial Markets experience is beneficial, it's not mandatory as we are looking for someone technically gifted who can pick up the domain on the fly. 

ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with other Front-end developers & a dedicated BA to develop new features on a HTML/JS/CSS based trading platform front-end running on desktop devices.
• Work with the local .Net Server team to integrate components with the backend system APIs.
• Follow established development methodology, including stand-ups, code reviews, sprint planning.

ABOUT YOU:
Essential
1. Experience of working on complex Javascript SPA's. 
2. Rich GUI dev experience in a browser environment running across web/mobile. 
3. Top grade  HTML5, JavaScript skills proven in a commercial environment 
4. Solid understanding of CSS3 
5. Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and solutions. 
6. Excellent knowledge of mainstream JavaScript frameworks, namely Angular JS 
7. Object Oriented JavaScript 
8. Experience with design patterns ie. MVC, MVVM & templating languages 
9. Knowledge of state-of-the-art software architecture principles, software design principles, IOC, domain-driven design, design patterns and OOP. 

Highly desirable 
10. Experience with WebSockets, socket.io, sockjs 
11. Familiarity with mobile specific event handling, gestures 
12. Front End Performance tuning techniques 
13. Experienced developing high trafficked &/or 24/7 operational e-Commerce sites used by 10,000's of users daily.
