Paxus is now looking for a Software Engineer to join their client's busy project in Perth to provide a high level coding skills in the development team. This role will be initially for 6 months with the possibility of extension for another 6 months.
A role to get your teeth into and immerse your self in new technology
Your role will included close collaboration with the Client's in house software development team. Hands on driving of continuous delivery, deployment automation, automated environment provisioning and process improvement. As well as support for business enabling applications & services, providing incident response, and leading change implementation activities.
The following skills and experience are essential for this role:
- Work on the latest cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Openstack)
- C#, Java, Rest API
- Experience in DevOps environment and CI/CD practices
- Test Driven Development
- Experience with automation of application deployments and environment provisioning (for apps developed in-house, not off the shelf packages).
- High degree of technical competency
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Very strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Enjoys working in a enterprise level environment
Main Responsibilities:
- Automate processes for building, deploying & testing in house software applications (written in Javascript, .Net, Java).
- Automate server stack provisioning for the same in house software apps.
- Work closely with development teams to identify and collaboratively resolve pain points in the continuous delivery pipeline.
- Identify, propose and implement service or process improvement initiatives.
- Responding to, validating and prioritising incidents escalated to the Automation & System Engineer team.
- Manage and maintain accountability for incidents, problems, changes and initiatives through to completion.
- Manage the configuration of infrastructure consistently across environments.
- Document, update and adhere all standard operating procedures as required.
To be successful in this role you will have an understanding of how the above technologies and tools were adopted and implemented / managed in an enterprise environment.
