A little about the role and the team:

We are looking for a passionate Senior Frontend Developer to join the Transactions development team and help buildout the digital consumer experience to help customers step through their property life cycle. At the moment, Transactions team takes care of Domain Loan Finder's and Domain Insure's digital experiences across Domain.

Since Transactions business is in its early stages, you would get opportunities to shape the future tech and product road maps. We encourage everyone to contribute towards the product and tech roadmap.

As a Senior Frontend Developer you would get to mentor other Frontend developers not just in the Transactions team but also across other teams as well.

• Server Side Rendering with React 16
• Sass and CSS-in-JS
• Company wide theme-able component library (Over 300 in house components written in React)
• The latest ECMAscript
• Typing! Flow and Typescript
• Linters! ESLint, Remark, TSLint
• Mocha, chai, sinon, jest, AVA
• Git / GitHub
• Code formatting with Prettier
• Shared company dev server libraries that include hot module reloading and fixture sets
• Webpack and Babel

A lot about you:

You will have a real passion for frontend development and will love working with JavaScript and React. You love sharing your brilliant ideas and coming up with ways to solve problems. Therefore, we need you to be a great communicator who is creative (we want to make sure you can share all those great ideas you have with the wider team!).

You also have a keen eye for detail, which means you take pride in the work you produce and are a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to the way things are delivered!

Your previous frontend developer roles and experience mean that you are used to working with large websites on a daily basis and scrum teams are nothing new to you!

Some of the skills/qualifications we expect you to have:

Must have experience:

• JavaScript/ECMAScript
• Modern UI framework (React, Vue, Angular)
• Testing framework (AVA, Mocha, Jest)
• CSS
• HTML

Nice to haves:

• Modern build tools
• Transpiling and bundling
• PWA experience
• Server framework (ie. express, hapi etc.)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Computer Science or technical degree
• Docker

We're building out a component-based frontend for Domain Group. We're using React, Node 8, Webpack, SASS, and JavaScript's ES2018 to do it. It's bleeding edge, and it's awesome. What's even better is we're making all these components re-usable: We're running multiple sites over multiple domains, and our component architecture is built to support all of these.

The Sydney offices are located in Pyrmont, which is right on the doorstep of Darling Harbour. The offices themselves can also become your home away from home with their own onsite gym and yoga studio. There is also a 5th floor balcony with a BBQ area, which we like to use for company events when the sun is shining!
