THE COMPANY:

THE ROLE:
This role works in a small team and is responsible for managing + ensuring high availability of the company’s business critical in-house e-commerce platform.
It requires a blend of 50% technical delivery and 50% stakeholder management with both internally and external vendors.
You’ll be working with internal & external development teams to assist in delivering new projects for website and mobile applications while always ensuring performance and high availability of the e-commerce platform.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in scoping, technical testing, load testing and release management.
- Design solutions to business problems in collaboration with an in-house developer.
- Ensure compliance with PCI standards, OWASP and secure coding practices.
- Monitor, manage & provision infrastructure and hosting in partnership with Managed Service Providers.
- Respond to monitoring alerts, incidents and coordinate resolution including outside of normal business hours.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Manage integration of payment gateways, 3rd party services and business systems.
- Assist with reporting, SQL queries and analytics review.
ARE YOU SUITABLE FOR THIS ROLE?
Suitable for either a Technical Lead, Technical Operations Manager (or similar) background who possesses a mix of hands on delivery and business engagement skills + experience ensuring the performance and high availability of 24x7 high volume, high load systems.
An ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders + experience overseeing the software development lifecycle (SDLC) is required.
The following is required:
- Web technology experience including domain registration, DNS, CDNs, Database platforms, HTTP/S, application frameworks and payment gateways.
- Experience in application performance management is preferred.
- Display extensive experience problem solving technical issues and understand the application stack.
- Experience with tools such as New Relic, CloudFront, Cloudflare, S3, Route 53 etc is beneficial.
- Display a passion for delivering quality software.
- DevOps experience is beneficial.
- Experienced working across SQL and .Net.
This is a full time permanent role located in the Sydney CBD and is offering $100,000 - $120,000 (including super) - depending on experience.
