Analytics / Data Visualisation Lead

Role: Senior Analytics Developer / Consultant

Key Responsibilities 



· Provide a consultation process to the business customers to enable the business faster, more reliable and enhanced access to evidence 

·Facilitates strong working relationships with key stakeholders to support collaboration, the exchange of information and issues management to build on existing relationships and influence outcomes 

· Assumes technical responsibility and guidance for the Analytics applications used by the department

· Deploys new releases of analytics applications into test and production environment and ensure products meets performance requirements 

· Designs and executes acceptance testing to improve the quality and reduce operational risk of the developed analytics applications 

· Undertakes post release activities to develop a base of knowledge to be incorporated in future build and release cycles to ensure delivery of quality, on-time and cost-effective solutions for stakeholders 

· Provides on-going 2nd and 3rd level support of developed analytics applications to reduce the impact of application defects and related incidents 

· Coaches, mentors and provides technical advice and oversight to other members of the team to ensure delivery of quality, on-time and cost effective solutions for stakeholders 

Skills 



Demonstrable expert knowledge of an analytics tools set (desirable: Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, 
IBM Cognos) 

Demonstrated skills and experience supporting, installing and maintaining BI and Analytics tools in an corporate environment. 

Demonstrated knowledge of multiple analytics tools and the capability to perform independent comparisons of tools based on fit for purpose. 

Knowledge of Data Modelling methodologies (desirable: Kimball) 

Experience of agile project delivery methods 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Experience in a consultant type role would be an advantage
