Business Analyst 


An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst in Canberra to work in a large government department. In this full-time role, you will work in the Business Applications Branch for analysis and design of business requirements, processes, and practices to support bespoke, off-the-shelf, and cloud-based business solutions. You will need extensive experience in IT software projects, and experience working with groups and in workshop environments to produce high-quality outcomes.

 

• Long-term contract role with extension options.
• Australian citizenship and HIGH-LEVEL clearance required.
• Competitive contract rate based on full-time hours.

For Success In This Role, You Will Need: 

• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate written documentation for a non-technical audience including business process maps; user stories and logical data models/entity relationship models.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high quality written documentation for technical, project and development staff including use cases; functional requirement specifications; data dictionaries; and data flow diagrams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships and translate business requirements into technology solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop quality specifications for complex ICT systems; including bespoke, off-the-shelf, and cloud-based software business solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver business solutions within the agreed time, cost, and quality expectations.
