My client are a key Fin Services organisation based in the CBD delivering wealth and investment management solutions. The have a new opening for a Technical Manager Development responsible for creating the
best development team whilst leading and implementing a DevOps culture.
You will be a key technologist, full of innovative ideas with strong analytical skills, a
passion for automation and experience in DevOps practices, you will inspire
and drive the development team.

● Help drive a highly cohesive development team that remains focused on
business expectations and satisfaction and which collaborates across the
business and IT to deliver exceptional solutions
● Develop and motivate a team of experienced Developers across multiple
disciplines
● Manage part of the development team, assisting in recruitment,
performance management and assessment, development, mentoring and
training
● Help manage resourcing for development projects, balancing business
and technology goals

Key Skills and experience required for the Position:


• Experience in managing and leading development teams
• Experience in implementing Agile development methods including Scrum,
Kanban, XP, B/TDD, automated builds and continuous integration &
deployment will also be hugely beneficial
• Advanced level (knowledge and experience) of programming languages ,
database technologies and methodologies
• Lead the design and delivery of solutions using contemporary technology
on premise and in the cloud
• Excellent verbal & written communications skills

Experience and
Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience
• Knowledge of nvestment Management having worked in a bank, FinTech or similar
• 5+ year’s experience in managing development teams and projects
• Experience delivering solutions on cloud platforms preferably AWS or Azure
• Experience with traditional and modern database technologies
• Strong in CI/CD and DevOps processes/tools, exposure to Atlassian
tooling an advantage
• Worked with both Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience in solutions using current approaches to solution architecture
such as Micro Services.
