The Studio

Electronic Arts' Mobile engine team (Osiris) is located at EA’s Firemonkeys Studio in Melbourne, Australia. The engine team provides EA with a high-performance mobile platform development engine that is currently used by multiple games, both live and in development.
 

The Role 

Osiris is looking for a Development Manager (DM) to join us in creating an engine that enables games like Sims Mobile, C&C Rivals, and NFS No Limits.

This is a leadership role that involves a high level of interaction with team members and peers in other teams. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the sprint schedule and driving the sprint work. You will help remove bottlenecks and mitigate risks throughout development and  solve problems by bringing together engineers and content creators in engine and game teams through a focus on communication, process, and execution.
 

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain development schedules
• Track sprint and milestone deliverables to ensure timely delivery
• Anticipate, mitigate, and communicate problems, risks, and roadblocks to ensure development goals and milestones can be met
• Maintain regular communication with game teams and key stakeholders to provide development status updates
• Manage change requests and advice key stakeholders on their effect on schedule and resourcing
• Collaborate with internal and external partners and gather their requirements
• Work on development processes and methodology and look for ways to improve efficiency

Qualifications

• Experience in software development environment
• 2+ years of project management or project lead experience
• Experienced in determining task dependencies, priorities, assignments, and identifying risks and creating mitigation plans
• Organizational skills and ability to execute on time, and at the expected level of quality
• Experience in a Scrum / Agile software development environment
• Experience setting up and running project management tools such as JIRA
• Comfortable using Excel to track, model, and analyze data
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams
• Strong negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills
• Effective communication skills
• High degree of initiative, takes opportunities to make improvements
