Located in Adelaide, our Applications Management Services team is now seeking customer and solution focused Release Coordinator to supporting our large Federal government client.  Ideally, you will thrive and have a passionate customer focus that is underpinned by the ability to develop business relationships with all stakeholders and service providers. You will need to be a highly driven and a detail orientated professional who thrives under pressure, can multitask efficiently and demonstrate a keen sense of ownership and accountability. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage high volume notifications of Application releases via email and Remedy queues for our government client.
  • Plan, coordinate and deploy changes on either a daily, weekly or monthly basis
  • Attend and run weekly meetings with clients to understand their requirements to plan for releases
  • Investigate and assess new work with internal/external teams and service providers
  • Participate in a rotating shift environment inclusive of week nights and weekend releases
  • Manage and coordinating technical resources to facilitate a resolution during complex issues
  • Administer detailed release schedules and post implementation handover documents
  • Create highly detailed release plans in MS Project and/or MS Excel
  • Manage Remedy inbox of release notifications and tasks
  • Maintain strict adherence to all processes and procedures through the change and release lifecycle
  • Resolve conflict and manage relationships
  • Identify, manage and mitigate any potential risk associated with Application releases

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following skills & experience:

  • Previous IT experience in a support or customer service role
  • Excellent verbal, communication and documentation skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Project and/or MS Excel
  • Ability to report on releases to all levels of management and technical experts
  • Experience in writing procedural or training documents
  • Willingness to learn about a broad range of technologies

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving IT related problems
  • Software product development lifecycle experience
  • Prior experience in Release Manager role
  • Experience in Project Manager role 
  • Work experience with or within Government department
  • Understanding of ITIL principles or current ITIL certification

Due to Federal Government client requirements, applicants must currently be Australian Citizens due to security clearances.  Candidates must also demonstrate flexibility and be willing to work outside of business hours including nights and weekends.
