To support the significant growth of our business, our ICT department is expanding and recruiting a variety of exciting roles. The Business Systems Analyst will sit within the newly created Portfolio Management Office (PMO) function which is accountable for planning, governing and delivering ICT enablement activities across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of PMO the Business Systems Analyst provides expert process, data and systems analysis services for the purposes of delivering improvements to the company’s Applications, Systems, Processes and Enterprise data. As a member of ICT’s Portfolio Management Office, the role may lead small project teams and system / process improvement analysis efforts for domains including but not limited to Finance, Business Operations & HR.

 Key Responsibilities of the role include:

• Configure and maintain John Holland’s web application environment to ensure continuance of service
• Provide technical input into the development of web-based applications and web-services utilising relevant modern technologies
• Assist with the development of BizTalk integrations where required
• Facilitate the implementation of CRM based JH websites
• Contribute to the ongoing review and development of the Applications team’s standards and methodologies
• Ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner as defined in the ICT Applications programme ensuring deliverables are met
• Effectively undertake development project management duties where required
• Effectively contribute to the development objectives in line with the Software Engineering Manager to ensure team objectives and project goals are met
• Maintain and develop strong working relationships with all team members of the Applications –Development team and the wider ICT team to ensure team deliverables are met
• Effectively manage communication and work closely with business analysts developing application requirements to ensure applications service those defined needs

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

• Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• .NET certifications
• Minimum of 3 year’s previous IT project experience in a development team focussed on .NET based solutions
• Extensive experience utilising Microsoft’s suite of development tools; inclusive of tools for the development of applications, reporting, database objects and integration
• Broad operational experience in systems (3+ years)
• Experience in Software Development or systems implementation delivery or related field with construction and/or engineering industry experience in an operational role
• Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and effectively within and across teams, communicating on all levels within technology and with business stakeholders
• Information Management and Change Management experience
