AWS knowledge is highly desirable in this role. This individual will be responsible for assisting in building frameworks to assist the business with regards to migrating to the cloud and ensuring they are secure, reliable and scalable. Position will provide technical expertise and strong thought leadership and guidance across both application development and support of the Digital team activities; to influence/introduce/refine processes and practices within the team and across teams, with the view to deliver rapid yet reliable solutions; to embrace DevOps ways of working; to deliver digital solutions for business to agreed time and quality standards. Skills using Python are preferable but at a minimum Java.

Requirements:

• Own, Build and Manage well architected, secure and centralised services for the digital public cloud/paas including such solutions for billing, user management, service catalogue, compliance and standards/tools.

• Assist workload owners/consumers of cloud services to migrate on-premise workload to cloud

• Champion and advocate for cloud best practices, automation of operations and services.

Skills:

• A solid sysadmin/ops, automation and monitoring (instrumentation) background

• Unix / Linux

• Docker, AWS, ci/cd tools, VMware, load balancing

• Atlassian suite – Jira, Bamboo, Stash, Git etc

• CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins)

• Python, Ruby
