One of our premium clients based in Canberra is looking for a highly experienced and committed Project Manager. In this role, you will be given the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the continued innovation and success of the company.

  Project Management:

   Display the ability to comprehend operational and financial risks to protect the Departments business.

   Lead IT enabled projects, with planning and delivery based on business requirements and in partnership with Health business areas and IT Suppliers.

   Lead, motivate and manage team members, setting behavioural expectations and activities;

   Build and maintain effective working relationships with technical professionals, project team members and stakeholders. Assist project board members to implement decisions that focus on addressing risks to delivery;

   Ensure the successful adoption of project deliverables by the people that will use them;

   Establish and manage project procedures and controls, and manage the production of outputs and artefacts through the project lifecycle to meet expected business outcomes, schedules, costs and quality criteria;

   Identify and manage changes to projects in accordance with established processes and standards;

   Manage information flows across projects;

   Establish and implement communications strategies and plans to ensure stakeholders are regularly informed of project developments, progress and issues; and

   Plan and delivery projects using the department’s PRINCE2 and MSP frameworks and an Agile product development approach; and

   Contribute towards knowledge transfer of skills and mentor staff as appropriate.

  Contract Management:

  • Experience in a Government outsourced environment.
  • Experience in governance, assurance, risk and quality control and cost management of IT Projects delivered in an Outsourced Environment and in line with outsourcer contract obligations.

  Business Analysis:

  • Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand Project requirements.
  • Facilitate the Definition, analysis and documentation of Project requirements identified by stakeholders and subject matter experts.

  Ensuring the achievement of IT outcomes:

  • Ensure change processes are adhered to in order to minimise the impact of change related incidents upon IT service delivery.
  • Ensure business readiness, including stakeholder communication when IT changes occur in the environment.
  • Ensure quality control for IT Project delivery.
  • Assist with tasks and issue resolution across the IT Service Management functions
