Cerner is searching for Healthcare Consultants to become members of Cerner’s Asia Pacific Consultant Organisation and to deliver professional consulting services in the Australian region. We have openings for Consultants specialising in either the FirstNet Solution or the Meds Process Solution

What will you be doing?

• You will lead the client and Cerner colleagues in identifying and executing the changes required to implement an electronic medical record in a Hospital setting.
• Using effective consulting skills in meetings and events, you will be responsible for driving the client through design of clinical and business process, solution and technology workflow, and successful adoption that will lead to achieved value.
• You will assist in change management, helping clients identify opportunities for improvements, and be accountable for achieving the project’s targeted outcomes.
• You will have responsibility for coaching and mentoring other consultants.
• As an integral member of the project team, you will ensure that the design of the solution and the associated processes are completed successfully whilst leveraging best practices.
• You will be able to articulate the impact of Cerner solutions on the client’s future workflows.

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 3-years health care information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or support work experience.
• At least 2 years’ experience with Cerner Millennium (FirstNet Solution or Meds Process Solution) workflow OR design and build experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience of working in a clinical or healthcare related role.

Expectations:

• Willing to travel up to 80% as needed.
• Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.
• Work in accordance with corporate and organisational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
