To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced AS400 specialist Developer, it is also ideal to have any exposure/experience working within the Insurance or Finance industry. This role reports into the Technical Lead and will be placed to assist Project and BAU/Support work.
Key core competencies and tasks:
- Commercial Development experience with AS/400 (IBM iSeries) platforms
- COBOL Programming with CL Commands
- SQL + Smart Queue Manager (SQM) Scripting experience
- Experience working within large, complex organisations
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Experience in a Support & Development roles
- Ensure the quality standards of the business are upheld
- Design & implement detailed technical specifications
Advantageous to have:
- Experience in Insurance or Finance industry
- Experience working within Agile teams
